SF Construction and Technical Programs Students Bring Home Gold and Silver from Skills USA Competition

April 18, 2024 – From April 15 to 17, Santa Fe College students participated in the 2024 SkillsUSA Florida State Leadership and Skills Conference at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center in Jacksonville, Florida. They proudly brought home Gold and Silver awards.

The conference stands out as the top gathering of its kind in Florida. The event invites over 100 top students to compete in skill and leadership competitions for a chance to advance nationally. It's a platform for students to improve technical skills, connect with industries and develop into professionals and community leaders. The conference also offers opportunities like the Meet the Employer Career Fair, where more than 50 companies seek to hire students, and the CONNECTED Expo and Trade Show, highlighting career opportunities and industry partners.
Winning Gold and Silver awards at the State Leadership and Skills Conference highlights Santa Fe College's excellence in vocational education, boosting its reputation and students' employability. It also provides networking opportunities and recognition within their field, opening doors to internships, job offers and further education, validating the college's commitment to student success.
