SF Midweek Review: Professional Development Day, Elevator Upgrades and More

March 27, 2024 – Stay updated on the week's events and developments at Santa Fe College:
- SF Marketing & Communications won 2 Gold NCMPR Paragon Awards: The awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication on a national level.
- Two SF students presented at the Johns Hopkins University for the Richard Macksey Undergraduate Research Symposium: Participants are selected from a nationwide pool of submissions from all leading academic institutions.
- Elevator upgrades are underway: Buildings A, B, L, R, X and P are affected.
- The Saints softball team improves its record: The Saints are 24-11 for the season and 15-5 in conference play.
- The "La Tour" sculpture installation continues: Between March 27 and 30, heavy construction equipment will be crossing into the Oak Grove near the Food Court.
- The Latin American History, Culture and Arts Conversation Series continues March 28: "Divine Feminines: Female Deities in Aztec Art" is this month's topic.
- Professional Development Day is this Friday, March 29: The college will cancel all classes and close all public facing offices (including the zoo, planetarium, etc.) to give employees the time to participate.
- Elements of Style begins March 29: Dance Theatre of Santa Fe presents their annual concert showcasing the variety of dance styles taught in the SF dance program.
- Theatre Santa Fe presents the Comedy "Noises Off!" in April: Tickets are available from the Fine Arts Hall box office at 352-395-4181 or online from Showpass at showpass.com/noises-off.
