March 16, 2024 – Here's some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- Santa Fe College welcomed the CCAP Delegation from South Africa: The delegation's two-week visit includes sessions involving nearly every facet of SF.
- Santa Fe College was honored by a Purple Star Campus designation: The designation recognizes schools that demonstrate a commitment to supporting military students and families as they transition to the college environment.
- Santa Fe College Friends Relay for Life happened March 14: The event took place in the Oak Grove.
- The Tyree Library hosts an Escape Room for students beginning March 20: Participants who escape will win a goodie bag and an entry for a chance to win one of two grand prizes.
- The Share Wear $5 Fill-A-Bag Sale is March 20: One bag per customer, cash only.
- The Association of Black Faculty and Staff will hold their General Body meeting March 21: You will need to register in advance to attend the meeting.
- Purchase SF's 2024 Women of Distinction Awards luncheon tickets: The ceremony will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 at the University of Florida Hilton Conference Center, 1714 SW 34 Street, Gainesville 32607.
- The Collegewide AI survey for SF faculty and staff is open: The Santa Fe AI workgroup is asking for feedback to identify the ways in which faculty and staff are using AI in their work and to learn about what types of professional development they are engaged in.
- CSC S.T.A.R. nominations are also open: Nominations are due Friday, April 12.
- The Sustainable Student Art Competition begins April 3: The annual student art exhibition and competition features artwork made from recycled and repurposed materials.
- Party for the Planet is April 6: Join the celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the SF Teaching Zoo.
