March 2, 2024 – Here's some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- SF will close for spring break March 4-9: Although the college will be closed for most standard operations, several areas of the college will be open to help students and serve our community.
- RTS bus service will be reduced during SF's spring break: Go to go-rts.com for schedule details on RTS service.
- The installation of the "La Tour" sculpture began: Foundation work is underway in the Oak Grove for "La Tour," a sculpture from the artist John Henry.
- Workday is coming: Your first opportunity to see Workday in action is at Professional Development Day on March 29.
- Registration for SF intramural sports is open: All SF students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
- The Spring Arts Festival Poster Unveiling Reception was Feb. 29: The first 25 attendees had the opportunity to receive a limited-edition version of the poster signed by this year's poster artist Molly Kempson.
- "Message In a Bottle: Latin American Literature and Identity" was also Feb. 29: Dr. Luis Felipe Lomelí presented.
- Register now for Professional Development Day: SF faculty and staff must register by March 15.
- "Jazz Up Spring" celebrates the music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie on March 15: The 15 students in the Jazz Ensemble and the eight students in the Jazz Combo will alternate music by the two composers throughout the concert.
- Santa Fe Singers will be joined by special guests for "Sing into Spring" on March 21: The program includes songs that span centuries and different vocal styles.
- Santa Fe College hosts the annual CTE Showcase on April 18: The showcase will feature Santa Fe College's CTE programs and various services that support students in these programs.
