SFPD Drug Take Back Day Event Oct. 26-29

October 23, 2023 – The Santa Fe College Police Department is partnering again with the Drug Enforcement Agency's Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Bring your unused or unwanted prescription drugs to the drop box in the SFID lobby Thursday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023.
- Accepted: Tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs that need to be properly disposed of.
- Not Accepted: Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharp and illegal drugs.
332 tons of prescription drugs were collected across the United States during the last National Take Back Day. The total weight of all time is 8,650 tons (17,300,454 lbs.).
