Santa Fe College Welcomes Students, Faculty and Staff Back for Fall 2023

August 14, 2023

August 14, 2023 – As the fall 2023 semester gets underway, Santa Fe College wants to welcome students, faculty and staff back to the college. Whether you are coming to SF for the first time, or finishing up your degree – and whether you are on the Northwest Campus, any of our locations throughout Alachua and Bradford counties, or taking classes exclusively online, we're glad you're here!

Students are encouraged to keep in touch with their academic advisors and meet with their instructors during office hours. Students can access additional academic coaching and guidance through the Learning Commons, which offers in-person and virtual services. The SF Counseling Center offers short-term, solution-focused counseling to SF students free of charge.

Students and employees can tour the SF Teaching Zoo free of charge with their SFID card. That card also gets students into several Fine Arts performances and SF Athletics events.

Be sure to access your eSantaFe account if you're a student – eStaff for employees - to make sure your contact information is up to date. Should a hurricane or other emergency occur, the college will use the information on file to let you know of any potential closures and other important information.

Speaking of safety, the Santa Fe College Police Department provides sworn law enforcement 24/7/365 for the college community. They also provide safety escorts, and jumper boxes in case you have a dead car battery, and their headquarters in Building T on the Northwest Campus is where lost-and-found items can be recovered.

This year, the college opened the Academy of Science and Technology, located in Building G. The Academy is a high school with a focus on careers in health sciences and information technology. Students and employees may see increased traffic along North Road and Parking Lots 6 and 7 as parents drop off and pick up Academy students. Traffic may increase as early as 7:30 a.m. before classes and as late as 3 p.m. after classes.
