President Broadie Announces Annual United Way Campaign

November 17, 2022

Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. released the following announcement to the college community about SF's annual campaign to support the United Way of North Central Florida.

Dear Santa Fe Family:

I am asking you to please join your colleagues across Santa Fe College as we support the United Way of North Central Florida.

The funds you donate help support individuals right here in our community who face unemployment, hunger, homelessness and other stresses on their physical and mental well-being. Our college has a successful history of supporting our community and collaborating with civic organizations. SF's long tradition of partnering with United Way strengthens our local community by helping friends and neighbors when they need it most.

As educators, we know the essential value of children entering school ready to learn and parents being able to provide for their families. Your gift to United Way of North Central Florida supports nonprofit programs that provide services in education, health, financial stability and immediate needs. United Way of North Central Florida programs include emergency assistance with rent, utilities, and food; early literacy initiatives for children; and free tax preparation for people with low-to-moderate incomes.

Santa Fe's United Way Campaign is underway through Friday, December 2.

We are known for our care and concern for others. Please remember your fellow citizens through the United Way.

Paul
