ABFS Black History Month Feature: The Digital Museum

February 28, 2022

February 28, 2022 – In honor of Black History Month, Santa Fe College's Association of Black Faculty and Staff (ABFS) will offer information important to SF and the community at large.

This week, the topic is – The Digital Museum

The Association of Black Faculty and Staff would like to introduce a project that is currently in process. The digital museum seeks to highlight past and present Black faculty and staff and their impact at Santa Fe College. As a preview we would like to share a glimpse of two past faculty members. Mrs. Vivian Filer not only is a past faculty member, but also a past student. She discusses her impact on the nursing program as well as her community involvement. Dr. Byron Dyce was the chair of the math department and is a former Olympic athlete. He shares his impact at Santa Fe College, including in the athletic department. We hope you enjoy the sneak peek and look forward to more to be added soon.
