November 15, 2021

November 15, 2021 – Santa Fe College had two Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl (IEB) teams competing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Saturday, Nov. 13, hosted by the Mike Cottrell College of Business at the University of North Georgia. Representing the only two-year college competing in the Mid-Atlantic, both SF teams had impressive showings, defeating teams from University of North Georgia, University of North Carolina, University of California Irvine, and Yale University. One of SF's teams finished in third place, one spot above Yale, thereby earning one of the Mid-Atlantic's four bids to the National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, where 36 of the nation's top IEB teams will compete in Cincinnati Feb. 26-27, 2022.

SF's IEB team members qualifying for Nationals include Thomas Child, Noah Frazier, Kyle Garzon, Sydnee King, and Daniella Rudolph. SF's second IEB team competing at the Mid-Atlantic included Carina Kaplan, Alanis Gonzalez-Maldonado, Dylan Rabant, and Amy Trask. Dr. Ann Thebaut serves as the teams' head coach, along with team advisors Dr. Claire Orenduff, Dr. Ronald Claypool, Dr. Li-Ren Kaplan, Dr. Jason Frank, Professor Lisa Charney, and Baron Morris.
