President Broadie's Message on SF's United Way Campaign
November 9, 2021
November 9, 2021 - Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. released the following statement as the college begins its annual United Way campaign.
Dear Santa Fe Family:
Please join us in supporting the United Way Campaign at Santa Fe College.
The funds you donate help support individuals in our community who face unemployment, hunger, homelessness, and stress on physical and mental well-being. Many people within the reach of Santa Fe that have never sought assistance before are now in need of help.
Our college has a successful history of collaboration. Santa Fe's long tradition of partnering with United Way strengthens our local community by helping friends and neighbors when they need it most.
As educators, we know the essential value of children entering school ready to learn and parents being able to provide for their families. Your gift to United Way supports nonprofit programs that provide services in education, health, financial stability, and immediate needs. United Way programs include emergency assistance with rent, utilities, and food; early literacy initiatives for children; and free tax preparation for people with low-to-moderate incomes.
Santa Fe's United Way Campaign is underway through Friday, December 3.
We are known for our care and concern for others. Please remember your fellow citizens through the United Way.
Paul
