SF Augments Safety Measures on All Properties
October 27, 2021
October 25, 2021 – Santa Fe College has enhanced safety measures at the Northwest Campus and all SF centers by adding bleeding control kits to buildings at the college. The kits, located with each Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine at SF, include all of the items needed to control serious bleeding and prevent further loss for a victim who suffered a traumatic injury.
College officials have worked diligently to create a safety-focused environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors, and have taken steps needed to protect the college community. Some of these measures are in the form of equipment like the AEDs and bleeding control kits, other efforts include the creation of the Building Safety Ambassador program, and a focus on customer service and proactive behavior to mitigate potential dangers and risks at the college.
The SF community should familiarize themselves with the college's Emergency Procedures and Safety and Risk Management pages on SF's website. Any SF faculty or staff member interested in serving the college community as a Building Safety Ambassador can contact Safety and Risk Management Coordinator, Marian Nesbitt at marian.nesbitt@sfcollege.edu.
