Legal Notice – Proposed Changes to the User Fees and Fines Schedule for 2021-2022
May 18, 2021
NOTICE: Proposed changes to the User Fees and Fines Schedule for 2021-2022 to be presented to the District Board of Trustees of Santa Fe College, Florida, on June 15, 2021, at 4 p.m. Trustees will be on SF's Northwest Campus at 3000 NW 83rd Street, Gainesville, Florida 32606 for the meeting, while others may attend the meeting via Zoom. For further information about meeting arrangements, contact general.counsel@sfcollege.edu.
Florida law allows the District Board of Trustees to assess user fees and fines. The fees shall not exceed the cost of the services provided and shall be charged only to persons receiving the services. At Santa Fe College, user fees and fines are assessed to students or community members who engage in the services that, because of their nature, require special funding not provided by regular tuition.
The proposed 2021-2022 User Fees and Fines Schedule can be found at the following link: https://www.sfcollege.edu/finance/student/user-fees-fines/.
The schedule specifically outlines the details of all existing fees that are proposed to be changed. All proposed increases are based on an increase in the cost of providing the services. The fees and fines proposed are for unusual costs and the funds received by the College will be used to cover the cost of the services being provided.
Credit hour and non-credit clock hour tuition and fee rates will remain the same and can be found at the following link: https://www.sfcollege.edu/finance/student/tuition-dates-schedules/
