Celebrate Health Information Professionals Week

April 20, 2021

April 20, 2021 – The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) will honor and celebrate health information professionals during the 32nd annual Health Information Professionals (HIP) Week, April 18-24, 2021. This year's theme is "Keeping Health Information Human."

During HIP Week, health information professionals engage in focused activities at their healthcare organizations and in their communities to raise awareness of their important work. In addition, health systems recognize the accomplishments of their health information team during HIP Week.

"A big salute to our current students and graduates for their steadfast effort and work in becoming HIM/HIT professionals," Santa Fe College's Health Information Technology Program Director, Julie Shay, said. "And kudos and recognition go to our HIM/HIT faculty for bringing their industry experience to the classroom and mentoring our students. Lastly, recognition and kudos to the tireless HIM professionals and industry partners of this program and beyond who host students, mentor students and hire students. Happy HIP Week!"
