Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Funds for Food

The recent American Rescue Plan Act temporarily allows more students to qualify for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds to purchase food. SF Students may be eligible if they:

• have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of “0” on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
• are eligible for the federal work study program, whether they have a work study position, or not; or
• meet the criteria for student exemptions under standard SNAP guidelines.
