Professional Development Opportunity for SF Faculty This Friday

March 15, 2021 - This Friday, March 19, from 9:30-11 a.m., Dr. Saundra Yancy McGuire, Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success and retired Assistant Vice Chancellor and Professor of Chemistry at Louisiana State University will present a morning keynote address, Teach Students How to Learn 2.0, on Zoom. She has delivered keynote addresses or presented workshops on effective learning strategies at over 400 institutions in 47 states and ten countries. SF faculty are invited to take part in this virtual presentation which will focus on growth mindset and metacognition, specifically discussing how faculty and staff integrate growth mindset and metacognition in their practice to enhance student learning.

In this 60-minute presentation, you can:
