Retirement Celebration for Lesley LeBaron Will Be January 29
January 15, 2021
January 15, 2021 - Dr. Lesley LeBaron, Ph.D., LMHC, LMFT, is retiring after 15 years at Santa Fe College. Her last day will be Friday, January 29.
Dr. LeBaron started at SF as a counselor in the Counseling Center in 2002, bringing with her 20 years in the mental health field. As an SF counselor, she has counseled thousands of students with issues such as depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol problems, as well as career and academic issues. She has loved working with students as they grew personally and academically. In her early years at SF, she co-chaired the SF Trauma Response Team, a part of the Crisis Response Team. After briefly retiring from SF from 2010 – 2013, when she worked as a Military Family Life Consultant on two Army bases, she returned to SF. In addition to counseling, she has led a weekly Mindfulness Meditation group for students and staff, chaired several search committees, been a member of the Petitions Committee, and supervised interns from the University of Florida Counselor Education program and the UF Counseling Psychology department.
In her retirement, she plans to return to her hobby of oil and watercolor painting and counseling in private practice. Her main joy will be as a grandmother to her three granddaughters, one of whom will be an SF student next year.
In recognition of her work the SF Counseling Center will be hosting a Zoom Retirement Party, Friday, Jan. 29, from noon-1 p.m. Please email Cindy Salvadori to RSVP and obtain the Zoom information.
