Dr. Broadie Issues Statement to the College Community Ahead of Annual United Way Fundraiser
October 26, 2020
October 26, 2020 – Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., released this statement to the college community ahead of this year's United Way fundraiser.
Dear Santa Fe Family:
If ever there was a time for you to support the United Way Campaign at Santa Fe College, this is it.
The global health crisis has impacted individuals in our community. There is unemployment, hunger, homelessness, and stress on physical and mental well-being. Many people within the reach of Santa Fe that have never sought assistance before are now in need of help.
Our college has a successful history of collaboration. Santa Fe's long tradition of partnering with United Way strengthens our local community by helping friends and neighbors when they need it most.
As educators, we know the essential value of children entering school ready to learn and parents being able to provide for their families. Your gift to United Way supports nonprofit programs that provide services in education, health, financial stability, and immediate needs.
Santa Fe's United Way Campaign is underway through Friday, December 4.
We are known for our care and concern for others. Let's demonstrate it again. Please remember your fellow citizens through the United Way.
Paul
