Message From the President on Climate Survey for Access and Inclusion
September 8, 2020
September 8, 2020 - Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., released the following message to the college community about a Campus Climate Survey that will begin Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Dear Santa Fe Family,
Understanding our campus's climate is essential. Diversity and inclusion have been an integral focal point for Santa Fe College. As part of our Access and Inclusion strategic plan, taking the pulse of our successes to date are key to learning where we may need to do more work to strengthen our ongoing policies and initiatives. At SF, we seek to continue to provide a diverse and inclusive working environment where all employees and students can be fully engaged and thrive.
As such, on September 15, Santa Fe College will begin a campus-wide diversity climate study. We have contracted with an outside vendor, Campus Climate Surveys, LLC to administer the surveys. The surveys will be online and accessible for those who need accommodations.
The survey results will be used to identify strengths and opportunities related to diversity, equity and inclusion. All employees are strongly encouraged to complete the survey, which will be online from September 15 through October 1, 2020.
We have selected Viewfinder Campus Climate Surveys in an effort to ensure that your responses remain anonymous. No personal identifying information will be collected from you. You will be receiving an email directly from Campus Climate Surveys, LCC inviting you to participate in the survey.
Campus Climate Surveys, LLC is a sister company to Potomac Publishing, Inc., publisher of INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the largest and most well-regarded diversity and inclusion magazine in higher education today.
Santa Fe College has a strong tradition of welcoming the contributions of faculty and staff and we look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance for participating in this important survey.
If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Calhoun, Dean of Access & Inclusion, at cheryl.calhoun@sfcollege.edu or (352) 381-7219.
Best regards,
Paul
