Fall 2020 Operation Reach Out Seeking Callers

August 24, 2020

August 24, 2020 – When Santa Fe College went entirely virtual in the Spring, a group of SF employees reached out to students in a telephone campaign called Operation Reach Out. Over the course of three weeks, more than 70 callers reached out to 9,190 students to ask how they were doing, let them know we cared about them and made appropriate referrals. It was a success!

The fall edition of Operation Reach Out is set to kick off September 8, but we can't do it without your help. Please consider, with your supervisor's approval, reallocating some of your weekly work hours to this important campaign. A list of students, a script and a list of resources will be provided. Two, 30-minute training sessions will be offered, but you only need to attend one: either Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 1:30 p.m. or Thursday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m.

If you are interested, please e-mail Cheryl Farrell at cheryl.farrell@sfcollege.edu by Friday, Aug. 28. Include your department name and specify which training session you would like to attend. As an added incentive, anyone who helps with Operation Reach Out will receive a free Santa Fe College T-shirt.
