10 Steps to Thrive This Semester

August 21, 2020

  1. Get familiar with your college Office 365 account - you will need it for everything! College correspondences can only go to your SF e-mail to protect your privacy. Plus, it makes it easier to stay signed into e-mail and Zoom, collaborate with your peers, and keep up with important announcements. Learn more with this Office365 FAQ.
  2. Join our Student Government in taking the #IPledgeFlorida Covid Safety Pledge to sustain a culture of care throughout our local and global communities.
  3. Finally nail that perfect ID photo with Student Life's online ID service!
  4. Sign up for Emerging Leaders, a free 8-week leadership program that will develop the personal strengths and skills necessary for individual and professional success.
  5. Subscribe to Civic Engagement and Service's weekly updates to get the latest on volunteering, community involvement, voter education, and more!
  6. Register for the Racial Equity Institute's "Measuring Racial Inequity: A Groundwater Approach" online for SF students and employees on September 4, from 9 a.m.to 2 p.m. This presentation uses stories and data to illustrate how racism is fundamentally structural in nature and offers helpful analysis.
  7. Join a student organization or start your own! Learn more about our campus community during Student Government's upcoming virtual Club Rush on September 9.
  8. Make yourself at home on Canvas! In addition to being the one-stop platform for all of your classes, you can also access the Learning Commons, Student Life, and student organizations.
  9. The Student Life Rec Room is now on Discord! Currently enrolled students can join this hub of activity, conversation, and some healthy competition!
  10. Join Student Life every day at 3 p.m. to find new ideas, new skills, and new people! Check out our weekly schedule:
