STEM is GRRATE
August 13, 2020
Do you struggle with math and science courses? The Guitars, Rocketry, Robotics Advanced
Technological Education (GRRATE) project seeks to engage students who don't typically
enroll in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) courses by implementing
ISC1006, Wide World of Science, an experiential class that teaches entry-level STEM
skills. Each class section uses either guitar building, rocketry or robotics projects
to engage students in fun project-based learning. GRRATE is a three credit hour elective
course. Course ends with an all-expense paid field trip to the Kennedy Space Center!
Fall 2020 GRRATE courses:
Robotics at the Andrews Center 1-4 p.m., Fridays
Rocketry at the Watson Center 8:30-11:30 a.m., Fridays
