June 17, 2020 – The American Association of Community Colleges recently published their June/July 2020 issue of Community College Journal, which among other things, covered college presidents who are new to their campuses and how they have changed their approach to providing education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., led SF for less than 50 days before all instruction and student services were moved online. President Broadie talked about how the college moved quickly to a virtual environment to protect the health of students, faculty and staff, and how he continued to consult with the college community with student success as the college's top priority.
The president also indicated that the college plans on using the lessons learned during the pandemic to provide future educational opportunities and innovative programs to students in the community, while bridging digital divide and accessibility issues.
