Dr. Broadie's Message to the College Community Offers COVID Testing Opportunity

May 28, 2020

May 28, 2020 – Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. released a new video to the college community Thursday afternoon. After a moment of silence for those who lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic, the president discussed the progress in the safe phased-in return to campus.

The college has developed a COVID-19 training module that will be available in Canvas that all students, faculty and staff will need to complete before returning to any on-campus activities. Dr. Broadie said the college also "developed checklists, protocols and self-assessment tools to assist all of us in our new shared responsibility for keeping your workplace sanitized and yourselves healthy." Other protective measures taken by the college include protective barriers, messaging, mask-wearing requirements and other safety protocols.

The college is partnering with the Alachua County Health Department to provide drive-through COVID-19 testing for SF employees Tuesday, June 9, on the Northwest Campus at the bus loop by Building S. Although testing is not required, the college is strongly recommending taking advantage of the opportunity.

The president wrapped up his message with his weekly high-fives.
