Santa Fe College Offering Training and Information for Faculty and Staff Ahead of Online Classes Monday, March 16

March 14, 2020, 11:00 a.m. – Santa Fe College announced it will be moving toward online classes beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, and will continue through at least March 30, 2020. All students will receive further guidance from their academic department and/or instructor before their scheduled class.
The Northwest Campus and all SF centers will be open and staffed as usual and continuing to provide student services. The College will continue to remain operational so long as it is safe and based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, the Florida Department of Health and local health agencies.
College officials are aware that all K-12 schools will be closed through March 30. The college is working diligently to devise a plan to assist employees with their child-care challenges while maintaining the continuity of services to our students.
The SF Help Desk is open this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The Centers of Academic Technologies (CAT) is holding open labs for Canvas training Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, March 15, from noon-4 p.m. The CAT will also hold ZOOM training Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. and Sunday, March 15, at noon and 2 p.m.
The college has set up a website, sfcollege.edu/COVID19, which includes official information from the college, a section of frequently asked questions and a list of events and closures involving the college.
