SF Athletics: Saints Weekend Roundup

February 10, 2020 – Saints athletics teams had mixed results over the weekend, with the baseball and women's basketball teams picking up wins, while the softball and men's basketball team fell short.

The Santa Fe Saints baseball team is now on a seven-game winning streak after beating South Florida State College twice Saturday, 4 – 1 and 5 – 4. SF is now 8 – 2 on the season and will host State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota today at 3 p.m.

SF's softball team finally fell out of the ranks of the unbeaten. State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota beat the Saints twice Saturday, snapping SF's six-game winning streak to start the season. The 6 – 2 Saints will spend their next six games playing away from home this week with two games each against St. Petersburg College Tuesday, Hillsborough Community College Thursday and Tallahassee Community College Saturday.

The Saints men's basketball team lost to the College of Central Florida over the weekend, dropping them to 10 – 16 on the season. They will travel to Daytona State College Wednesday.

The Saints women's basketball team, like SF's baseball team, also finds themselves on a seven-game winning streak. SF beat the College of Central Florida 99 – 85 on their home court. They will hit the road Wednesday, for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff against Daytona State College.
