Lecture on Biodiversity and Conservation of the Brazilian Savanna

Santa Fe College's International Education will host another guest presentation. Dr. Veridiana de Lara Weiser, an ecology and biology professor from Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), will introduce the Brazilian Cerrado, the most ecologically rich savanna in the world and the second-largest habitat type in Brazil.
She will draw on her extensive research to describe the rich biodiversity of the Cerrado and current efforts to both conserve and protect it from deforestation.
SF students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the presentation Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. in Building S, Room 329.
