Fall 2019 Commencement Ceremonies Are Thursday and Friday

December 9, 2019 – Santa Fe College will be holding commencement ceremonies this week. Thursday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. will be the pinning and commencement for students in SF's Nursing program, while all other degree and certificate earning students will have commencement Friday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m.
SF faculty and staff who ordered regalia can pick it up at the SF Bookstore. Faculty and staff who are volunteering to help at commencement should pick up their lanyards by Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. at the SFPD. Volunteer walk-through will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday and lanyards will also be available there. Please bring your SFID when picking up your lanyard.
Students and their guests who will be attending commencement should refrain from carrying large bags, packages and other items into the gym. SF reserves the right to inspect any packages and refuse any item staff deems harmful, dangerous our obtrusive. Those items include, but are not limited to alcohol, firearms, laser pointers, noisemakers, selfie sticks, balloons and other items. A more detailed list is available on the Guest Information page.
Faculty and staff members who are not planning on attending commencement should be aware that the roads around the gym will be closing early in advance of each commencement ceremony Thursday, North Road near the gym will be closed at approximately 2:45 p.m., Friday North Road will close at approximately 4:45 p.m. Employees who normally leave campus via North Road to NW 91 Street will have to exit campus via NW South Road.
Disabled parking will be available in Lots 10 and 11. General Parking will be available in Lots 8, 9, 9a and 12. All guests coming to commencement must have a ticket to enter the gym. Anyone without a ticket will be directed to the SF Fine Arts Hall to watch the ceremony on the big screen. Commencement can also be viewed online.
