Financial Aid is Currently Processing 2020-2021 FAFSA Forms

November 26, 2019

November 27, 2019 – Santa Fe College's Financial Aid office has begun importing next-year student FAFSA applications and displaying My FA Status action items including any potential required documents needed based on those FAFSA applications. Currently, Financial Aid has imported about one-third of the files, with all files imported before leaving for winter break.

SF faculty are encouraged to remind their students that the holidays are a great time for gathering families to complete financial aid and enrollment action items. Even when the college is on a break as the year comes to an end, families can continue taking steps toward enrollment and aid at SF using eSantaFe and electronic documents. The virtual Financial Aid office is available for self-service 24/7!

Financial Aid self-service options now available to students include:

  • My FA Status enhanced student portal for financial aid action items and information
    • Electronic Forms with the ability to sign electronically, have parents sign if needed, submit from anywhere using mobile devices, and upload directly to their eSantaFe account for staff review upon the college's reopening
  • Ask SF! Chatbot with the ability to answer common student questions 24/7/365
  • Campus bookstore partnership with Barnes & Noble that offers hours during the break, as well as online book charging (for pickup/small fee)

Once the files are all imported into the system, Financial Aid will have a follow-up outreach campaign for students to complete outstanding action items, and for more students to complete their FAFSA for next year if they have not.
