Deceased man found on SF's Northwest Campus

September 20, 2019

September 20, 2019 - At 12:15 a.m., a staff member leaving the Santa Fe Fine Arts Hall found an unconscious adult male who was not breathing and called the Santa Fe Police Department. SFPD responded immediately and administered emergency first aid. Fire rescue and EMS arrived shortly thereafter and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

"An investigation is underway to determine cause of death and identify the man," said SFPD Chief Ed Book. "There does not appear to be any risk or danger to the college community."

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation. More details will be released as they become available.

The college and campus remain open and operational and this appears to be an isolated incident.
