Board Approves Proposed Budget for 2019 - 2020
June 19, 2019
June 19, 2019 – The Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees approved the proposed budget for the 2019-2020 year during their meeting Tuesday afternoon. The approval includes pay increases and plans to allocate funding for building projects at the college.
Based on the budget presentation President Jackson Sasser made to employees at the Fine Arts Hall Monday afternoon, all full-time employees who are not at the minimum level of their pay grade based on the recent salary study will be moved to that minimum amount. Full-time employees whose positions were a part of the salary study will also receive 50% of any calculated adjustment to get them to market value.
Human Resources said that roughly half of SF full-time employees in Career Service and Technical and Professional categories will receive some sort of pay increase because of the salary study.
In addition to those increases, all full-time and part-time Career Service and Technical and Professional, non-student employees will receive a 2% cost of living adjustment to their salaries.
The presentation President Sasser made to employees is available on the Office for Finance's Budget and Year End webpage. The president also emailed all SF employees last night to provide additional information.
Human Resources should have information to employees within the next week to provide information about any changes in pay categories and what employees can expect under the new salary schedule. Vice Presidents will meet with employees to go over additional details and further questions can be directed to human.resources@sfcollege.edu or by calling 352-395-5185.
