Celebrate World Accessibility Day with the Certificate for Accessible and Inclusive Practices
May 10, 2019
May 10, 2019 – In recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day Thursday, May 16, Santa Fe College, in partnership with Sao Paulo State University, will be launching the Certificate for Accessible and Inclusive Practices (CAIP). This self-paced online course is designed to promote an inclusive pedagogy through the application of universal design principles. We will cover important topics such as unconscious bias, the effective use of accessible multimedia, and the role of advocacy in fostering a more inclusive learning environment. As you work through the program, you will see how improving accessibility is ultimately a journey and not a destination.
Graduates of this 10-hour online course will receive a certificate of completion and special digital badge for your SF instructor's page. You can sign up for the course on the Professional Development Registration page.
