Free Bus Trip to Lakeland to Support the Saints Baseball Team

May 7, 2019 – The Santa Fe Saints baseball team is competing in the NJCAA Region VIII/FCSAA State Tournament in Lakeland. Santa Fe College students, faculty and staff are invited to travel to Joker Marchant Stadium on a passenger bus provided by the SF Foundation. The bus will be at the SF Administration building Friday, May 10, at 12:30 p.m. and will leave at 1 p.m. sharp. The bus is expected to arrive at the stadium at 3:30 p.m.
The Saints are scheduled to play at 4 p.m. against Florida Southwestern in the opening round of the playoffs. The bus will leave after the game, with anticipated arrival back to the Northwest Campus at approximately 9:45 p.m. If you are interested in going, (and have the leave time and supervisor approval if you are staff), email your name and SFID number to richanna.lindo@sfcollege.edu.
In addition to the cost of the bus, water will be provided for both the trip down to the stadium and the return trip to SF. The cost of admission will also be covered by the foundation. Every student, faculty or staff member on the bus will be responsible for their own food, concessions will be available at the stadium. The bus will NOT stop for food on the way to or back from the game.
The only confirmed times are when the bus arrives at the Northwest Campus Friday at 12:30 p.m., and when it leaves at 1 p.m. All other times are subject to the start time of the SF game and how long the game lasts.
There needs to be a minimum of 25 people reserving a seat on the bus before noon Thursday, May 9, or the bus will be canceled.
