SF Community Ed Course at Kika Silva Pla Planetarium
April 26, 2019
April 26, 2019 – Santa Fe College's Community Education is having a special class held in the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium on the Northwest Campus. Celestial Navigation: Observing the Sun, Moon and Stars is a two-session course facilitated by James C. Albury, co-host of the nationally syndicated PBS program Star Gazers. The course teaches the fundamentals of finding your way around using the stars. By the end of the course, you'll be able to tell what season it is, which direction you're traveling and how far north or south you are on the Earth, just by the constellations you can see above you.
The course will be held Saturday, May 4, and Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. until noon, and the fee is $59 for the course. To register, visit SF's Community Education webpage, or call 352-395-5193.
