Santa Fe College Wins Prestigious Salesforce Summit Award
April 26, 2019
April 26, 2019 – Santa Fe College was a big winner at the Salesforce Higher Ed Summit, held this month in San Diego, California. The college's International Student Services (ISS) was awarded the Salesforce Summit Award for Excellence in Operational Efficiency. SF is the first community college ever honored with the award, which has traditionally been given only to large universities. SF beat out the University of Miami and the University of New England Online for this year's award.
The Summit Award is presented each year to outstanding, trailblazing higher education institutions for their work with products developed by the Nasdaq-traded company, Salesforce.com. Salesforce is known as a leader in cloud computing and the development of customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
ISS was specifically recognized for utilizing the Salesforce platform in opening doors for international students. ISS tracked a double-digit increase in international enrollment in the 2017-2018 academic year, fueled by its use of the digital platform to streamline the enrollment process for incoming students.
The recognition by Salesforce also cited a dramatic increase in outreach to prospective international students, a reduction in immigration issues and an increase in graduation rates.
SF has been utilizing Salesforce for five years and is the only institution ever to be named a finalist for the Summit Award three years in a row, since its inception. Previous finalist distinctions recognized enrollment gains tracked by the Salesforce team in the Office of Admissions, and graduation success with the Finish at the Top program.
The award winner was determined by a vote of institutions and Salesforce users, making the award a dual distinction made by Salesforce and higher ed institutions worldwide.
