Open Enrollment Ends Friday, November 9
November 5, 2018
November 5, 2018 - Santa Fe College's annual Open Enrollment period for the 2019 benefit plan year is underway and runs through Friday, Nov. 9. Open Enrollment is an opportunity for employees to add new plans, make plan changes and add or remove dependents and/or domestic partner coverage for the upcoming plan year. No changes can be made after open enrollment unless they are due to a qualifying/life-changing event, e.g., marriage, divorce, birth, etc.
Please note that portal access and registration instructions are available via the FBMC Registration Link. SF's Human Resources recommend internet explorer as the preferred browser when signing up for benefits.
Although rates have increased slightly for our group Health Care plans offered through Florida Blue, BlueOptions Traditional PPO 3766, Blue Care-10 Managed Care HMO and BlueOptions 5190 and 5191 HSA plans, plan designs will remain the same and the college will continue to pay 100 percent of the employee monthly premiums. The BlueOptions 5190 and 5191 HSA includes a Health Saving Account funded by the college $500 annually for individual employee coverage or $1500 annually for family coverage. Employees can also make additional contributions based on 2019 IRS allowances. If you wish to make contributions please complete the attached forms and return to Human Resources.
Delta Dental premium rates for PPO (Standard and Premier) and HMO will be slightly reduced and both PPO plans will now offer an enhanced Orthodontic benefit for qualified dependents up to age 19.
Benefits available during Open Enrollment for the 2019 plan year are medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance; flex spending, cancer insurance, sick leave pool and Legal/ID Shield. To enroll or make changes to your current health, dental, vision, disability, supplemental life, dependent life LegalShield and flex spending you will need to log in to the FBMC Benefit portal during the designated OE period. Again, HR suggests using internet explorer as the preferred browser when signing up for benefits.
