September 4, 2018 - Santa Fe College associate professor of Music, Mitch McKay, will perform a solo concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, in the SF Fine Arts Hall.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $9 for seniors, children and University of Florida students; and free for SF students, faculty and staff with a valid SF ID. For ticket information, call the SF Box Office at 352-395-4181 or visit the SF Fine Arts ticket website.

Members of Dance Theatre Santa Fe (DTSF) will join McKay on stage for Mussorgsky's "Hopak" in a performance choreographed by Alora Haynes, chair of the Fine Arts Department who was formerly co-director of DTSF. "Hopak" is derived from a word meaning "to leap and stamp one's feet," is background music for a traditional Ukrainian folk dance historically performed by Cossacks.

McKay will also be joined by one of SF's new music scholarship students, DeVon Gainey, who will provide vocals for "Night Song" by H. Leslie Adams.
