Santa Fe College Baseball Players Named to National All-Star Team

July 17, 2018 – Santa Fe Saints baseball players Brock Edge and Devin Hemingway have been selected to the NJCAA National All-Star team this summer and will compete in the prestigious National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kansas. The 26-man roster will compete against some the nation’s best from August 1-11. Edge and Hemenway were the only junior college players from Florida selected to the team.
Edge, the Saints everyday right fielder, had a great freshman season hitting .409 with 13 doubles, two triples, 10 HR’s, and was selected first-team All-Conference and was on the All-State tournament team. He will be returning to SF for his sophomore season.
Left-handed pitcher Devin Hemenway also had a great freshman campaign going 6-3 with a 2.84 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 76 innings pitched. Hemenway was also selected first team All-Conference and he will pitch next season for the University of Florida.
