SF Basketball: Saints Named to Mid-Florida Conference and All-FCSAA State Teams

March 30, 2018 - Following the conclusions of their seasons, both the Santa Fe College women's and men's basketball teams saw players honored for their on the court efforts. Five men's players and five women's players were honored by the Mid-Florida Conference, and one women's player, Stephanie Jackson, was named FCSAA All-State.
Men's basketball players Darrell Jones and D-Juan Taylor-Hodge were both named to the MFC First Team. Jones led the team in scoring with 13.1 points per contest and rebounding, pulling down 7.3 boards per game. Taylor-Hodge was second on the team with 12.3 ppg.
Alsean Evans (11.1 ppg), Malik Morrow (9.3 ppg), and Ivan Smith (10.1 ppg) made the MFC Second Team.
Stephanie Jackson led the group of five women's basketball players who were honored, playing her way on to both the MFC First Team and the FCSAA All-State Team. She averaged 14.8 points per game for the season and upped her production in conference play, scoring 16.6 ppg.
Janasia Law (11.6 ppg, 4.2 assists per game), Brianna Richardson (11.6 ppg), and Ivana Boyd (8.3 ppg, 8.7 rebounds per game) were also all named to the MFC First Team. Julie Fournier (9.0 ppg) made the MFC Second Team.
