January 25, 2018
January 25, 2018 – The game Wednesday night was a little closer than the Santa Fe Saints would have preferred it, but the outcome was what they wanted as they went on the road and earned a Mid-Florida Conference victory.
SF (16-6, 3-2 MFC) sputtered through a slow first half and trailed 34-26 after the first 20 minutes of action.
Sophomores D-Juan Taylor-Hodge and Darrell Jones stepped up in the second half and led the Saints back, outscoring FSC-J 41-30 over the final period.
Taylor-Hodge and Jones led the way offensively for SF, finishing with 16 points each.
Kimar Edwards had a big game off the bench, scoring 12 points in the comeback effort.
The Saints will welcome Daytona State College to Gainesville this Saturday for a 4 p.m. Mid-Florida Conference contest. SF needs a win to keep pace with Eastern Florida State College for second place in the MFC.
