Saints Women's Basketball Open Conference with 101-63 Win

January 8, 2018 - The Santa Fe Saints women's basketball team scored 30 points in the opening quarter of play Saturday afternoon at home against Florida State College-Jacksonville in route to a 101 point day and a 1-0 start in Mid-Florida Conference play.
The Saints led 50-32 at halftime and outscored the BlueWave by 10 in each of the third and fourth quarters to finish off the 38 point win.
SF made 40 field goals and shot 55% from the field. They outrebounded FSC-J 42-27 and held them to 38% shooting. Stephanie Jackson scored 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting to lead all scorers. Brianna Richardson had 18 points and four steals, including four three pointers. Rhea Smith had 10 points and eight rebounds, and Ivana Boyd scored nine points to go with eight assists.
The Saints will hit the road on Wednesday for another MFC contest, this time against Daytona State College at 6 p.m.
