Open Enrollment Starts Monday, October 23
October 20, 2017
October 20, 2017 – Open enrollment for Santa Fe College employees begins Monday, Oct. 23, 2017. Open enrollment is the time for SF employees to review their current benefits and make adjustments or sign up for new benefits for the upcoming year. Employees need to log in to the benefits portal to make changes or select new benefits.
In addition to the plans offered last year, there are new benefit options including a Health Savings Account (HSA). The HSA combines high deductible health insurance with a tax-favored savings account. The HSA will also be replacing the current HRA plan that will be transitioned out during 2018.
There is also a new option called Teladoc. Teladoc provides access to board-certified physicians who can resolve most non-emergency medical issues over the phone or online video.
Open enrollment will end Friday, Nov. 3, 2017. SF employees who miss the open enrollment period will not be allowed to sign up for, or change benefits until the next open enrollment period unless they have a qualifying life event (marriage, birth of a child, etc.).
