Santa Fe College Student Named Air National Guard 2016 Outstanding Airmen of the Year

May 2, 2017 - JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. - The Air National Guard command chief master sergeant announced April 10, 2017, the Air National Guard 2016 Outstanding Airmen of the Year. Included on the list is current Santa Fe College student, Senior Airman Lacey K. Miller, 125th Fighter Wing, Florida ANG.

Each year, the ANG seeks to recognize the Airmen who best embody the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence.

"Our Air National Guard Outstanding Airmen of the year represent the very best of all of us," said Chief Master Sgt. Ronald C. Anderson, command chief master sergeant of the Air National Guard. "These four Airmen represent the 91,000 enlisted men and women of the Air National Guard. They represent 21st Century Guard Airmen operating at the highest level around the four corners of the globe every day without fail."

The honorees, selected from across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands, are: Senior Airman Lacey K. Miller, 125th Fighter Wing, Florida ANG; Tech. Sgt. Jason Selberg, 162nd Wing, Arizona ANG; Master Sgt. Thomas J. DuMont, 131st Bomb Wing, Missouri ANG; and Senior Master Sgt. Jason L. Handa, 162nd Wing, Arizona ANG.
