Gainesville, FL - On Sunday in Jacksonville the Santa Fe College Saints inched themselves closer to a FCSAA Tournament berth, taking two games over Florida State College-Jacksonville 4-2 and 7-2.

SF (28-17, 11-9 MFC) now holds a four game lead over Lake Sumter State College (20-34, 6-12 MFC) with four games to play. The Lakehawks still have six games to play, including two at Santa Fe College Thursday, April 13, at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Those two games will be broadcast on the Saints Sports Network.

Game one was decided in extra innings with the Saints putting two across in the eighth to secure the victory. Adrix Paradizo-Ramos continued her hot hitting knocking in what would be the game winning run and Haissette Escudero plated an insurance run.

Autumn Green (9-6) earned the win in the circle, increasing her win total to nine.

Game two was a more comfortable win for Santa Fe College. The Saints scored three in the second inning on RBI by Cassandra Garcia and Raelye Rouw. Shailynn Morales homered in the third and again in the seventh, the second time a three run blast to add the insurance pitcher Kaylan Tucker was looking for. Tucker earned the win in relief of Brielle Morichetti.

The Saints will hit the road Tuesday, April 11, against St. John's River State College at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. A pair of wins would clinch SF a spot at the FCSAA Tournament. One win and one loss by Lake Sumter would also clinch the Saints a spot.
