Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe College Saints hung with the #8 team in the nation Tuesday but couldn't pull out the wins, falling in two close contests to Seminole State College 1-0 and 5-2.

A two-out second inning homerun by the Raiders was the only blemish to a great game pitched by autumn Green. Green has been on a roll the last few weeks and established herself as one of the top pitchers in the conference with her recent success, including a win against NJCAA #5 College of Central Florida

In game two the Saints fell behind 1-0 in the second inning but grabbed the lead in the fourth on a RBI double by Evelyn Arguelles and a RBI single by Adrix Paradizo-Ramos,

Seminole State tied the game in the bottom of the fourth and retook the lead with three runs in the sixth.

The losses drop SF to 19-12 overall and 3-5 in the MFC. Seminole improves to 34-3 and 7-1 in the MFC.

The Saints will host St. John's River State College on Thursday, March 23, at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.
