Relay for Life

Join us at the 2017 Relay for Life of Gainesville, April 21-22, 2017, where our community will take time to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a impact on cancer in our community. At the Gainesville Relay Event, participants will take turns walking the track, participating in fun, family-friendly fundraising activities and games, and serve up food and drinks all for the cause.

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer.

Teams, individuals, and cancer survivors can register online now at www.relayforlife.org/gainesvillefl.

Santa Fe College teams currently registered are:

  • SF ACE
  • SF Gamers
  • SF Staff and Friends

Combined, they hope to raise $4,000 in the fight against cancer.

American Cancer Society services at work: If SF raises $4,000, the Hope Lodge here in Gainesville would be able to house 40 cancer patients for one night during their treatment free of charge.

Participation is optional.
