Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe College Saints held on down the stretch against a hard charging College of Central Florida team Wednesday night in Gainesville, coming out on the winning end of a 80-70 game, clinching the team's first Mid-Florida Conference title since the 2010-11 season. The victory also guarantees SF a #1 seed at the FCSAA Tournament March 8, 10 and 11 in Ocala.

Tabitha Odabe was dominant, setting a record for blocks in a game and finished one point shy of a triple double. She scored nine points, pulled down 18 rebounds, and blocked 12 shots, breaking the previous record of 10 set by Tatiana Manuel on Jan. 28, 2015 against Central Florida. She is now just two blocks away from setting the season record for blocks. The current record is 94 set by Manuel in 2014-15.

The Saints (18-9, 11-3 MFC) led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, but the Patriots rallied to cut it to five with just over a minute to go.

Ariana Emanuel-Wright sealed the game for SF, nailing her final four free throws to ice the game.

Emanuel-Wright scored a career high 33 points to lead all scorers. Corey Staples joined her in double figures with 16 points and Rayven Wade had six points and 12 rebounds.

The Saints final regular season game will be in Saturday at St. Petersburg College at 2 p.m.
