SF FASTPITCH SAINTS SPLIT DH WITH HILLSBOROUGH

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints hit the road Tuesday and split a pair of games at Hillsborough Community College, falling in game one 4-3 before bouncing back for a 4-3 win in game two.
SF (5-2) lost game one despite outhitting the Hawks 10-4. Three errors were the downfall for the Saints in a game where they pounded out 10 hits but left eight runners on base.
Santa Fe College bounced back in the second game and rallied for a 4-3 win behind strong pitching from Allie Sievers. Sievers allowed just three hits and struck out five over seven innings of work.
The Saints totaled 16 hits in the two games and game one starter Brielle Morichetti and Sievers combined to allow just seven over 14 innings.
Evelyn Arguelles, Shelby West, and Adrix Paradiso finished with three hits on the day, and Raelye Rouw had 2 hits and two RBI.
The Saints will travel to Avon Park Saturday, Feb. 11 for a double header with South Florida State College at 1:00 and 3 p.m.
