November 14, 2016
The Santa Fe Saints took on a tough Northwest Florida State College team on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Raiders 74-59 in Ocala. The loss drops SF to 2-2 on the season.
Santa Fe trailed by six at the half and played even with NWF in the third quarter to keep it at a six point margin heading into the final 10 minutes. The Raiders outscored SF by eight in the final period to seal the win.
Ari Emanuel-Wright led Santa Fe with 20 points and Corey Staples had 17.
"We turned the ball over too many times in both games this weekend," said SF Coach Chanda Stebbins. "It's something we will continue to work on in practice. We have a great group of players and they are going to work on getting better every day."
The Saints will face another tough Panhandle Conference team on Tuesday in Tallahassee against Tallahassee CC at 5:30 p.m.
