SAINTS TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS AT LAKE SUMTER

September 28, 2016

volleyballNadine Williams and Ashton Marshall led the charge for the Saints on Tuesday night against Lake Sumter State College, leading SF to a straight set win over the Lakehawks. The victory was a crucial one for the Saints who are now 10-7, 1-2 MFC after dropping their first two Mid-Florida Conference contests to two of the top teams in the nation, Daytona State and the College of Central Florida.

Williams was a force on offense, picking up a team high 12 kills, and Marshall controlled the Lakehawk offense, digging 22 balls in three sets. Sterling Williamson and Meraiah Hill were dominant at the net, blocking five balls each. "This was a solid business trip for us today," said SF Coach Nick Cheronis. "Defense carried the day for us thanks to blocking and spectacular digging by Ashton Marshall."
