July 12, 2003 – The Gainesville City Commission presented a proclamation to the family of SFCC student and Soldier who lost his life in Iraq naming today "Spc. Jeffrey Mattison Wershow Day". Twenty-two-year-old Wershow was a Gainesville native and was killed in action at Baghdad University by an unidentified gunman on July 6.

July 15, 1985 – Guy Andrews of Starke, who received tuition money from County Commission 55 years ago, raises funds to remodel the Old Courthouse that will be SFCC's Starke Campus.

July 16, 1987 - $24 million is the budget request for Santa Fe College.

July 17, 1991 – SFCC, AC school board get grant to build job-training program.
